About me
I’m Tyler Frederick, and I’m running to be your next Clerk of the Delaware County Municipal Court.
I come from a family that understands the value of hard work and giving back. Both of my parents were the first in their families to graduate from college, setting an example of resilience and determination. My dad’s father had a 7th-grade education and worked a union job at the Ford factory, while his mother, widowed young, raised five children as a stay-at-home mom. My mom, who’s parents divorced when she was young, grew up tending the family farm while her father worked as a police officer and owned a liquor store while her mother worked as a secretary and office manager. My parents didn’t have much growing up, but through hard work and perseverance, they built a better life for their family—something I never take for granted.
Because of their sacrifices, I had opportunities that many in my extended family didn’t. I used those opportunities to become a pharmacist—a profession built on precision, problem-solving, and service to others. Throughout my career, I’ve helped people navigate the complexities of the healthcare system—skills I’m ready to bring to the Clerk’s office to make our court system more accessible and efficient.
Service has always been a guiding principle in my life. I grew up in the Catholic Church, where my family has been active at St. Gabriel Parish for over 50 years. Service to others was a core value of our community, and from a young age, I dedicated myself to helping those in need. I spent my spring breaks repairing homes in Appalachian Kentucky, my summers preparing and distributing food to the homeless in Louisville, and time with an organization that ensured homeless and indigent individuals received dignified funerals when no one else would. Those experiences shaped my belief that when given opportunities, we should use them to lift up those around us.
I also have the incredible support of my wife of three years and our beautiful one-year-old daughter, with hopes of growing our family in the years to come.
I’m running because I believe the judicial system should work for everyone —not just those who know how to navigate it. I want to ensure that hard work is rewarded, the system is fair, and those who abuse power are held accountable. It’s time to build a Delaware County where everyone has a fair shot.
My Mission
Promote Fiscal Responsibility: Save Delaware County millions by fostering a positive work environment, boosting efficiency, and supporting the dedicated staff who keep our courts running.
Expand Access to Justice: Leverage modern technology and AI to make the court system more affordable, efficient, and accessible to everyone—ensuring no one is left behind.
Restore Integrity to the Office: Bring fresh leadership to the Clerk’s office by unseating Cindy Dinovo and putting the community’s best interests first.
My Qualifications
Attention to Detail: In my career as a pharmacist, I’ve developed a strong attention to detail—reviewing critical records and ensuring accuracy in high-stakes situations. This precision is essential for managing court documents and maintaining public trust.
Regulatory Compliance: I work every day within a complex web of laws and regulations, making sure policies are followed correctly and ethically. That same diligence is vital in upholding the legal standards of the Clerk’s office.
Problem-Solving: I’m used to identifying issues, making tough decisions quickly, and finding practical solutions. These skills will help improve efficiencies and streamline the day-to-day operations of the Clerk’s office.
Public Service: My career has always centered around helping people. I understand the importance of accessibility and fairness—principles that should guide every aspect of the judicial system.
Leadership & Management: I’ve led teams, balanced budgets, and overseen operations. That experience has prepared me to take on the administrative and organizational responsibilities that come with leading a public office.
Advocacy & Equity: I care deeply about community well-being and believe everyone deserves fair treatment and access—especially in our courts. I’ll work to ensure the Clerk’s office is a place where all residents feel respected and supported.
